What It Is / How It Works

This FGR4S receiver is a 2.4GHz, 4-channel receiver for RC cars and RC boats. It is built to work with the Flysky NB4 PL18 RC transmitter.

Who It's For / Use Cases

Receivers like this suit RC hobbyists who build or upgrade radio control cars and boats and want a compact receiver for an AFHDS 3 transmitter. They also suit builders working in a tight model body who need a small receiver that leaves room for the other electronics and who plan to set up the link through a bind procedure.

How to Use / Care

  1. Position the receiver so its antenna is as far away from any metal parts as you can when you install it.
  2. Insert the binding cable into the receiver's BIND port.
  3. Plug the power cable into any other port, and the LED flashes quickly once the receiver enters bind mode.
  4. Put the transmitter into bind mode by following the transmitter's instruction manual.
  5. When the LED flashes slowly, binding is complete. Remove the power and bind cables, reconnect the power cable, then check that the transmitter and receiver work as expected.

How to Choose

Start by checking that your transmitter uses the AFHDS 3 protocol, since this receiver is made for AFHDS 3 system remote controllers.

Match the output type to your control setup. The receiver supports PWM, PPM and i-bus, so choose the one your model's control system uses.

Measure the space in your model. The receiver is 26 × 22 × 17.3 mm, so confirm it fits the spot you plan to use.
