What It Is / How It Works

This car air vent clip is a phone holder that attaches to the slats of a vehicle's air vent. Holders in this category grip the vent louvers and keep a phone within the driver's view. They are used when you want hands-free access to a phone while you drive.

Who It's For / Use Cases

Air vent clip phone holders suit drivers who use a phone in the car and prefer a mount that clips to a vent. Passengers who want a phone at eye level can use this type of holder too.

How to Use / Care

1. Use it to hold a phone on a car air vent.

How to Choose

Start with the vent shape. Air vent clip holders grip vent slats, so check the slat width and spacing in your car before buying. Next, consider your phone's size and whether you need the holder to tilt or rotate, since a ball head allows angle changes. Choose a holder whose grip and arm reach suit how you sit in the car and how you want to view the screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the clip attach to?
The clip grips the slats of a car air vent to hold the holder in place. Vent designs vary, so the grip depends on the slat shape in your car.

What is the ball head for?
A ball head lets the phone be tilted and angled toward the driver. Holders with this design are used to adjust the screen view after the clip is set.

Will it grip every car vent?
Vent designs differ in slat width, spacing and shape. Check your vent before buying, since a clip that suits one vent may not grip another.
