What It Is / How It Works

Magnetic car phone mounts usually rely on a magnet meeting a flat metal surface, and metal plate disks give the magnet that surface on a phone case, a desk stand or another flat spot.

Who It's For / Use Cases

Drivers who use a magnetic car phone holder and want a metal plate to attach to a phone case or a flat surface are the usual buyers for this type of accessory. Desk and tablet users who keep a magnet on a stand can also use metal plate disks of this kind to hold a device in place.

How to Use / Care

1. Attach a disk to the phone case or flat spot where the magnet of your holder will rest, so the magnet has a metal surface to grip.

How to Choose

Choose the disk shape and finish that match your holder and your setup. Round or rectangular disks in black or silver are available, so pick the shape that matches the flat area where the magnet will sit. Check that the disk covers the magnet contact area of your holder before you decide.
